Have Questions?

No matter what questions you may have, Tia is happy to answer them for you. It's good to be reflective and curious. If your questions aren't answered below, or even if they are, feel free to reach out to Tia for more information.

  • What types of events do you do, other than weddings and conferences?
Relationship celebrations like engagement parties, anniversary parties, vow renewals, or divorce parties Personal accomplishments like graduation or retirement parties Life changes like baby showers (NOTE: Tia does not do gender reveals) Seasonal events like holiday parties Adult-only events like play parties
  • What sizes of events have you coordinated?
Tia has worked events that have had up to 500 attendees.
  • How short can your short timeframe be?
Please provide two weeks' notice for an unplanned event. A more comfortable short planning period is at least a month. But no matter when you need the help, Tia is ready to step in whenever you need her.
  • Why do you excel at short-term planning?
As someone who occasionally feels decision paralysis, Tia prefers the feeling of clear desires made on the spot. Additionally, as someone who can be impatient, Tia enjoys the thrill of quick accomplishments during short-term planning.
  • Will you be present at my event?
Absolutely. No matter your needs–from full-service planning to partial planning to just day-of coordination–, Tia will be sure to be at your event from prep to cleanup.
  • Do you offer free consultations?
Absolutely! Tia is happy to help answer any questions you may have before any payment is required. Consultations will be virtual, either by phone or Zoom.
  • How often do you schedule meetings?
Tia is happy to meet with you as often as you need, and that can be in-person, over Zoom, or over the phone. If your event is at least a month away, Tia prefers meeting at minimum once per week. If your event is a year away, Tia is comfortable meeting every two weeks to once every month. Meetings and their locations will depend on your needs and preferences. Tia wants to get as much information from you to help make you feel most comfortable on your big day.
  • What is your price minimum?
Events start at a flat rate of $800 for Day-Of Coordination, $1,600 for Partial Planning, and $3,200 for Full-Service Planning. After having an initial consultation and learning your budget, Tia will provide you with a package proposal that outlines costs. She is happy to be flexible to work within your means. Tia strives to be affordable and accessible to anyone in need.
  • What if you haven’t worked an event at my venue?
Don’t worry! Tia knows all the questions to ask to ensure everything runs smoothly.
  • Where do you do events?
Tia is based in Chicago and grew up in the suburbs. With that, she’s comfortable driving to counties surrounding Cook County or driving within the Midwest (including but not limited to St. Louis, Milwaukee, or the Twin Cities). Please note that if your venue is outside of Chicago, you will need to pay for Tia’s transportation and accommodations.
  • Am I required to work with a specific list of vendors?
No! Tia is happy to work with whoever fits your needs and interests.
  • Do you use artificial intelligence (AI) in any step of planning or design?
ABSOLUTELY NOT. Tia ethically and morally refuses to use AI. AI steals from the work of artists who have put time and effort into their work. Plus, AI uses an obscene amount of energy. Tia cares more about collaborators and the planet than to consider cutting corners with AI.
  • Do you recommend any tattoo artists?
Tia doesn’t have a regular tattoo artist in Chicago, but she has traveled across the country for tattoos! Most of her tattoos are by Ryan “Inkbeard” Simon in Springfield, MO. She has a half-sleeve by Riley Hendricks (who moved away from Chicago) and by Matt “Banjo” Sears from Milwaukee. She also has a few large pieces by Cabug, the owner of Grey Sunz Tattoo in Kent, WA. She has watercolor pieces done by Tattoo Trey in Texas.
  • Where are your professional photos done?
Vavoom Pinups! Vavoom Pinups is a retro pinup photography studio in Wicker Park in Chicago that provides a closet full of outfits and accessories, hair and makeup typically included, and pose coaching! If you want a fun party with your girls, Tia recommends taking group photos at Vavoom. If you want spicy photos to give to your spouse-to-be, Vavoom is the perfect private studio to let yourself free. Or maybe you want romantic and spicy couple photos? Vavoom does that, too!
  • Where should I get my flowers done?
For artificial flowers, Tia recommends her mother Lil Joy in my Life, based out of southeast Wisconsin. Since these flowers are artificial, Tia can help transport them wherever your event may be. For real or fresh flower arrangements in Chicago, Tia recommends Pretty Pressed by Jes. They also do flower preservation, and you can send your flowers in from anywhere across the country.
  • Are any of these recommendations paid advertisements?
No! Tia is just happy to share quality connections with you.
